Aphorisms akin to data capabilities; its colossal ramifications are plenty and each is true. While the sceptics will wait for AI to take over humanity, I am confident that meanwhile, Data Intelligence and ML will transform every aspect of our existence.

Professionals privy to the esoteric knowledge of how AI and neural networks will undoubtedly enjoy a favoured vantage. As an engineer, I have agreed with the technological rationales and worked for over 15 years with reputable IT organisations. I am currently working as a Senior Lead Developer with AARNet, Australia, to felicitate their digital transformation & in 2019, I curated a digital Loyalty Program for Master Card, Australia, contributing as Senior Java Developer. Over the years, I have been privileged to collaborate with intelligible mentors on coveted projects, hitherto gaining expertise in AWS Architecture, JAVA, Full Stack Web Development and Data Structure & Algorithms.

I am eager to pursue a systematic curriculum on Data Science for the firm belief that formal education is the only systematic approach to comprehend the complexities of Data Science. Primarily, it being a neo-modern technology sector and innovations and research are updated quite frequently. After careful evaluation of available choices, I was compelled to apply for the online Masters at UT Austin, Dallas, as the syllabus was very well aligned with my learning objectives and the excellent academic legacy of your institution. The knowledge gained through the program will aid in better career progression and research initiatives for me.

My work role at the Australian Academic & Research Network (AARNet) requires me to work with RUBY, SpringBoot, JAVA8, React JS, Redux, AWS, Couchbase NoSQL and Rancher, among others. As a Senior Lead Developer (July 2019- Current), I am entrusted with developing multiple web-based projects in microservices architecture REST APIs and React-Redux based applications. The project is aimed at digitising the entire database and CRM of AARNet. I supervise that best practices are followed in terms of CODE Standards, mainly for TDD, CI/CD, Agile Product and Feature Development and work closely with critical stakeholders like the Head of Engineering and other product owners to ensure immaculate product delivery routine.

From February 2019 – Jun 2019, I worked with ATRRA Pty, (city, country) working on the project to replace the monolithic application with microservices for Master Card, Australia. I learned a great deal here as I was spearheading the transformation from strategy to execution. Before this, I was employed with Copious Software as JAVA Technical Lead (August 2016 – February 2019). I was working onsite on a proprietary product of Discovery Health, South Africa; the product was called Pharmacy Benefit Manager. The technological environment was standard, including JAVA8, Jenkins, Spring (Boot & Cloud), AWS, Cammunda, Dynatrace, Angular JS and NETFLIX OSS. Under the guidance of the enterprise Architect, I gained good proficiency to perform POC roles for tolls such as Drools, Fico and Spring Cloud (Eureka, Ribbon, Hystrix, Configserver, ZIPKIN, Feign & Zuul). During my first year at Copious, I worked on the APP Centre migration to Spring Batch for the same client while developing and designing a new centralised batch framework to migrate existing batch apps with Elastic, Kibana and Logstash.

Earlier, I worked with Pubmatic India Pvt Ltd as a Technical Team Leader and Scrum Master (February 2014 – July 2016), Zensar Technologies as a Sr. java Developer (September 2011 – February 2014) and TATA Consultancy Services (December 2009 – September 2011). Straight out of my BTech program, I started my career with Verchaska Infotech as a Java Developer. I worked there for more than three years (May 2007 – December 2010), absorbing many applied learning outcomes for the first time and developing synergy for better teamwork capabilities.

Academically, I have always been a curious, diligent scholar. I completed my BTech Degree in (2002-2006) from UP Technical University while majoring in Electronics & Communication Engineering. The four-year program satiated much of the knowledge anticipation, enabling me to learn profusely about (mention core and electives of undergraduate). Even during school, I often ventured beyond the scope of my syllabus to complete additional readings. Even today, I am from the inquisitive lot and have continued to complete various technology certifications while working; viz: Docker Certified Associate (2019), AWS Solution Architect Associate Certificate (2019), Sun Certified Web Component Developer and Java Developer in 2011 and 2008 respectively.

Being able to work and learn extensively with technologies has been a joy ride. It is only prudent and suitable for me to delve deeper into the next technology frontiers springing from the cohesiveness of DATA and Machine Learning concepts. Through the esoteric course module at Austin, I seek to develop a reasonable to expert understanding of Principals of Machine Learning, Predictive Modelling, NLP and Data Mining. I have prepared myself suitable to enable ease of learning. I have a good understanding of base subjects such as Calculus and Linear Algebra, knowledge about Python and R, and I am confident that my experience of working with large data sets will also aid in my adequate comprehension in the class.

I have some definitive research goals for my near term future. Through the uptake of new knowledge at the (University Name), I seek out with academic vigour to deploy my technological praxis with data intelligence and curate a unique, financial predictive analytical dashboard with powerful calculative capabilities of processing enormous data sets. I am mindful to adhere to the ethical purview in this initiative and ardently aspire to create technology that can enable the masses to make better financial and investment decisions. I have a harboured ambition to conduct profound research in this area. I may even opt to pursue a reputed PhD Program after completing my online MS in Data Analytics at UT Austin.

My earnest intentions to pursue this program online are that of pure learning while I can continue with my current work roles. I am committed to delivering excellent results from it with exemplary scholarly conduct.
