Subject – Letter for renewal of Study Visa ( File #___)

Dear Mam/Sir
My name is ___________, a resident of Nepal by birth (Passport No.____). I have been residing in Australia for higher educational purposes since 11th February 2019. I am currently pursuing Bachelors in Early Childhood Education at the Excelsia College, Macquarie Park, NSW, Sydney. My study program here is due completion in 2024. I am writing this letter to request for an extension of my study visa. My visa (No._____) is expiring on ______, due to which I will not be able to complete my Bachelors education.
Therefore, it is my solemn request to extend my visa for the duration of my study tenure in Australia i.e. (mention required visa duration) and allow me to complete my education in Australia. My chosen study program in Early Childhood Education is perfectly aligned to my knowledge objectives and with my future ambitions of enhancing the educational experience for children in my home country Nepal; as an edified educator.
I am currently living at 2-4 Russel Street, Strathfield, NSW. To gain a first-world work experience, I have been working in Australia as a Stewardess at the fine dining restaurant called Malabar South Indian Restaurant, located in Kingscross, Sydney since Feb 2020.
Educational Experience
I have been a diligent scholar since middle school and post my completing my senior secondary education in Nepal, I readily enrolled to the Bachelor’s in Accounting Program in 2019, at the Kent University. My choice was well derived owing to my interest in Business Management and related academic knowhow acquired while studying intermediate in Commerce stream.
At Kent University, while I was able to comprehend my coursework effectively, my experience in Australia exposed me to the brilliant pedagogical methods of your country. Between 2019 and 2021, I made extensive efforts through research, surveys and mentor consultations to develop a good understanding of educational methodologies practiced in kindergarten and high schools of Australia; particularly in NSW region.
In 2020, after completing my first semester in the Bachelors of Accounting program, I changed my course at Kent University to Early Child Hood education. However, I could not continue here due to not being able to meet the PTE requirements. Hence, to further substantiate my capabilities in English language as an academic discipline, I completed the General English (Elementary to Advanced) [080115D] certification (30/09/2019 – 08/11/2019) from QIBA, Sydney.
After exhaustive research and careful contemplation, I decided to restart my education with an academic concentration on Early Child Hood Education. In 2021, I took a fresh admission at the Excelsia College; which has a formidable reputation as an educational entity and provided me an opportunity to study an expansive curriculum that is singularly focussed on teaching pragmatic solutions for the early learners.
I have been studying at the Excelsia, Macquarie campus since 22/2/2021 and have completed my first three semesters, studying in a fashion akin to a sincere scholar; regularly attending my classes, timely completing my project work and above all relishing the knowledge to my favoured interests.
Language Proficiency
I appeared for IELTS examination in 2018, scoring average bands of 6.5. On 07/07/2020, I sat for the Pearson Test of English and scored 63 in the test. The Excelsia College acknowledged my score and accepted my student application to study Bachelors in Early Childhood Education.
Overseas Student Health Cover Details (OSHC):
I have procured the health insurance as mandated by the guidelines of the Australian Immigration Office. (Please mention insurance and NIC details here)
Why Study Early Childhood Education
The education system in third world countries including Nepal is starkly different from the one in Australia. The curriculum in Nepal, although are academically extensive, yet they leverage heavily on the grade structure rather than ensuring an experiential learning system. I am certain that if young students in Nepal, if groomed organically with the rational pedagogy, will not only develop a keen interest in studies but will also gain an understanding of their academic interests.
I vehemently look forward to contributing to this noble endeavour at my home country. The Government data in Nepal clearly suggests a dismal picture of academic penetration in the country. The Nation Master 2021 survey clearly shows that the average schooling years in Nepal are below 3 years per adult and the country ranks a low 91 out of 100. The gender parity data in education is also indicating a similar trend with very few girls actually opting for college education and stem courses.
My education in Australia will expose me to holistic teaching methods based on valid research and tested applications. This will allow me to work towards facilitating better education practices in my home country right from the formative years of children.
Why study Early Childhood Education in Australia

The course-works are well designed for diverse intellect levels ensuring that students get liberal academic choices that suit their academic affinity and career interests. The methods of teaching too are widely based on applicative learning outcomes. Similar educational curriculum for hopeful educators such as I are not available at Nepalese or Indian Universities. Therefore, it is with strong intent of doing good for the future generations of my home country, I want to meticulously study the undergraduate program at the Excelsia College and thereafter, leverage my skill training to infuse better educational practices in Nepal. I aim to work as an educator in Nepal and strive to increase girl student contribution to the active work force of my country.
Future Goals
After accruing the valuable education in Australia, I will be returning to my home country to re unite with my friends and family. I will immediately aiming to join public or private educational bodies where I can test the applied scope of my knowledge. After a few years of educating, I have strong ambitions to contribute to the policy making mechanism in the education sector of Nepal.
