An MS in Construction Management from Thomas Jefferson University will open new doors for me. Since it is a STEM program, it will provide me hands-on experience with the construction process from residential projects to commercial infrastructure with a practical understanding of construction technology, architecture, business and engineering giving emphasis on management. It aligns with my academic goals to excel in leadership qualities and to improve my management skills. This is one of the courses that deal with healthcare, public safety, construction, designing, management, and planning. To study and learn from the industry experts the nuances of this program will be an experience in itself. The course does not limit in any way but only provides new opportunities to learn.
To learn the fundamentals of construction and project management in a live project and deliver results that are feasible keeping in mind the constraints of the construction industry. During my internship, it has occurred to me that the construction sector needs reorganizing at several levels to produce maximum output. Also, regular management courses will not fulfil the requirements of this domain. Hence, construction management which differs widely from a general management course is my first choice to pursue.
Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering was the first step to the realisation of a dream that Thomas Jefferson University will help me achieve. A Master’s in Construction Management will allow me to put my technical skills in alignment with managerial skills. My ability to plan and forecast the schedule with probable outcomes backed up by my technical skills relating to resource allocation, most likely time for any assigned activity, optimal/crash cost, etc makes me a suitable candidate for this course.
My professional goals include working with one of the top construction companies in India. In the long run, I wish to establish myself as an entrepreneur in order to improve and aid the development of my country. Learning to focus on quality building within a budget, to meet the customer and safety standards is a benefit to my future career. This program is most useful to a student like me who wishes to construct large scale projects that face more problems since it requires a keen eye on the scale, schedule, resources, and budget.
Your university provides a number of experiential learning. From on-site training to interning with the best construction companies, it will equip me with all the right tools and skills to build my own construction company. It is the most useful application of all the scientific and physical principles. Working with the best companies will be another learning experience that is offered by your university. The activities organized by your university leads to the overall development of a human being. A person of virtue can achieve any goal. It only takes determination, dedication, hardwork, perseverance along with a balance between work and personal life emphasising all-around development which is offered by your esteemed university.
