After completing my graduation, I immediately realised that if I want to pursue higher education in IT and management, I need to be diligent and persistent. This is also what I learned by observing my father, an honest and hardworking man, who ensures that I receive the best quality of life despite his own economical struggles.

At this juncture, I have selected the University of Texas, Dallas, to continue on my academic promenade because of its learned faculty with professors with vast industry experience. It will be a privilege to study my chosen electives from such faculty known for their distinct teaching approach, which constantly emphasizes connecting theory to practice. Through the holistic Master of IT and Management, I seek to develop the skills needed to impact and lead in the IT industry. But for most students belonging to a middle class family, including me, attending a premier college in a foreign land remains one of the challenging aspects.

Just like my father has been supportive and ensured quality education in my formative years, he will be doing the same for my higher education as well. He deeply understands my ambitions and thus, has procured an education loan that covers a significant portion of the tuition fee at UoT. In these times of sky-scraping interest rates on student loans, receiving a scholarship grant will not just be a rewarding opportunity but an achievement in itself. It will notably reduce my loan amount and simultaneously allow me to keep up the living expenses at the foreing campus so that I can pursue my studies stress-free.

The scholarship offered by the institution is not just financial aid but a reward that will validate my diligence to acquire remarkable achievements in academics. I want to substantiate this statement by highlighting an impressive GMAT score of XXXX for which I studied meticulously for over a year. In 2020, I founded The Palm Care Company and a year after its establishment, Amazon Launchpad claimed it as the ‘Disrupting Innovation Brand 2021’.

I now yearn to make more such remarkable feats in the future, and I firmly believe that a scholarship offered by the UoT will eliminate my financial barriers whilst empowering me to continue to expand my knowledge and skill to make progress in my career.
