In this assessment, I will reflect on my key traits, skills, and strengths, and mostly my abilities as a leader. The survey that I have taken has generated results which demonstrate that I cannot make a very good leader. When it comes to showing leadership potential, I find that this is something that is not really in my nature, and that I would be more the type of person who would give advice and suggestions to a leader about how to bring about an improvement in the performance of others. The results of the survey however point to the fact that I am the kind of person who would accept the ideas and suggestions of others and implement them, and that I would implement the type of suggestions that are usually implemented quite commonly by other leaders. These are traits and attributes which show that there is potential for me to be a leader even though the whole act of issuing orders and being, in charge of a whole group of people is not something that is wholly a part of my nature. As a part of my self-assessment survey, I have come to understand that allocating responsibilities to groups of people is something that is in tune with my personality, and this goes to show that being a leader is a definite part of my personality and it is what I could be a success at if I set my heart to it.
The results of the first survey on self-assessment have shown that I am quite good at communicating with people, and that working with things and working with people is an activity that I truly enjoy. Conceptual ideas, therefore, are, something that I am quite comfortable with as well, which again points to the fact that innovating and coming up with new ideas and suggestions, all of which are characteristic features of a good leader, are characteristics that I am in possession of, and which indicate that I would certainly make a good leader at some point of time. Working with technical things such as equipment and computers is something that I am very good at, while figuring out the motives, the interests and the attitudes of people is something that I am equally good at, as well. All of this goes to show that leadership is what I am suited for, and that I simply have, to get myself to mentally embrace the idea or the prospect of partaking in leadership activities, in order, to eventually become an effective leader someday. Leadership I believe is a certain possibility for me, if the results of the first assessment are anything to go by, and I need to hone my leadership skills more and make sure that these are suitably developed to embrace leadership activities with success in the long run. I am happy with the results of the first assessment as these have shown that there is definite scope for me to be a leader someday.
